How does it work?

  • It uses AR technolgy and is packed with a strong hardware support. It has three different types of cameras:
    • FLIR (thermal)
    • wide angle (AR tracking)
    • color (depth/image processing)
  • It also includes built-in speakers and uses Intel RealSense Technology that supports gestures for interaction.
  • It's custom Battery can last up to a day.
  • Also, it supports storage/recording capabiltity to record the sessions
  • DAQRI offers an API for developers to develop custom applications on it's custom OS called VoS

Why is it cool?

The helmet weighs just 1 kg and it's built with industrial grade material to be usable in heavy-industry. The AR tech enriched with sensors allows real-time updates to the wearer about the devices. Therefore, they need carry other devices with them. For e.g. they can use the thermal camera to get an estimate of a part of a machinery that is overheating.
